National Park of the Casentino Forests, Mount Falterona and Campigna

The National Park of Casentino Forests, Mount Falterona and Campigna is equally split between Emilia Romagna and Tuscany and covers approximately 36,000 hectares along the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennine ridge.
The Romagnolo area includes the municipalities of Bagno di Romagna, Santa Sofia, Premilcuore, Portico-San Benedetto and Tredozio. The Nature Observatory of Valmarecchia is located in a prestigious area, which has been acknowledged by the European Union as a sensitive area in terms of the environment.

Conca Wildlife Oasis and Ornithological Observatory

The Conca Wildlife Oasis was formalized by the Province of Rimini in 1991. It includes the Conca stream between Morciano di Romagna and the mouth, and covers 702 hectares.
This vast area occupies the alluvial areas (part of flat ground between the low-water channel of a river and its artificial or natural dike, which is filled during high waters) and the streamway (the classical ditches causing the river’s streams ) located in the municipalities of Morciano, Cattolica and San Giovanni in Marignano along the right bank, and San Clemente and Misano Adriatico along the left bank.
