National Park of the Casentino Forests, Mount Falterona and Campigna

The National Park of Casentino Forests, Mount Falterona and Campigna is equally split between Emilia Romagna and Tuscany and covers approximately 36,000 hectares along the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennine ridge.
The Romagnolo area includes the municipalities of Bagno di Romagna, Santa Sofia, Premilcuore, Portico-San Benedetto and Tredozio. The Tuscan side includes the Casentino municipalities of Poppi, Bibbiena, Chiusi della Verna, Pratovecchio and Stia while San Godenzo and Londa are located in Mugello.

Nature Observatory of Valmarecchia - Montebello Oasis

The Nature Observatory of Valmarecchia is located in a prestigious area, which has been acknowledged by the European Union as a sensitive area in terms of the environment.
It is situated in the nature oasis extending over 1,200 hectares, which was created with the purpose of protecting a highly interesting region from a geological point of view (presence of gas formations), and in terms of vegetation (oak-hornbeam forests, orchids and other types of vegetation), and fauna (a large number of wild mammal, reptile and bird species live in the area).

Park of the Po Delta

Emilia-Romagna’s Park of the Po Delta (established as a regional park in 1988) has territorial and ecological features making it one of a kind. In fact, it covers a total surface area in excess of 52,000 hectares considered among the most productive and enriched with biodiversities. It is also home to the largest area of protected wetlands in Italy.

Cervia Nature Park

The Cervia Nature Park (established in 1963) was created with the purpose of protecting a significant part of the natural environment while making it available to tourists and visitors at the same time.

The nature park is a place to spend a few hours in complete peace and quiet, where forgotten scents and sounds are discovered in a journey to re-establish that contact with nature that Man has lost. It is also home to a true botanical route which indicates various native essences.

Conca Wildlife Oasis and Ornithological Observatory

The Conca Wildlife Oasis was formalized by the Province of Rimini in 1991. It includes the Conca stream between Morciano di Romagna and the mouth, and covers 702 hectares.
This vast area occupies the alluvial areas (part of flat ground between the low-water channel of a river and its artificial or natural dike, which is filled during high waters) and the streamway (the classical ditches causing the river’s streams ) located in the municipalities of Morciano, Cattolica and San Giovanni in Marignano along the right bank, and San Clemente and Misano Adriatico along the left bank.
