They are all lively, with music, DJs and colourful buffets. This type of happy hour is generally at the end of the week, on
Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, but during the August holiday period (“Ferragosto”) in Italy, aperitifs are served every day.
During the rest of the year, the happy hour is best enjoyed in the centre of Riccione and along the seafront.
Riccione likes to keep ahead of the times and there are venues at its centre that, during the happy hour, serve aperitifs and finger food (literally food you can eat with your fingers).
A broad selection of food is served at the bar counter including tacos, Ascolan olives, crostini toast, piadina sandwiches with all manner of fantastic fillings, tapas, croquettes, crudités, nachos, mini-quiches, vol-au-vents, cold and hot pasta, rice salads, savoury tarts, various salads, couscous, rissoles, burghers, prawns, greens and a fusion of ethnic food such as Mexican, Indian, Japanese and Spanish, and so forth.
It is now a social ritual, a time in the day for students, office workers and people of the world of fashion and entertainment to get together and to talk.
