These special cycle-tourism itineraries will lead you to the magnificent “Land of the Malatestas”, from the countryside of Giovanni Pascoli to the magnificent town of Urbino, cradle of the Italian Renaissance. You can ride through some wonderful Nature Reserves, such as Monte San Bartolo Park, which rewards the visitor with some truly breathtaking scenery, and even reach the heights of the Park of Sassi Simone and Simoncello, an ideal setting for mountain bike enthusiasts, and a virtually unspoilt natural environment.
The really daring can attempt the ascents already conquered by the great champions of cycling, such as the Barbotto Pass. Or they can climb up to the “Cippo di Garfagnana”, (Garfagnana Milestone), where they will discover a monument to Pantani.
Cyclists who are not quite so expert have a choice of less demanding routes, which nevertheless will give you all the pleasure of exploring a region which can surprise and delight you at any time of year.
