Roller skating Riccione

The history of roller skating is naturally associated with the much older form of ice skating that dates back to 16th century Holland.
This sport is more popular than ever before and is constantly evolving. In fact skating has met with such success among athletes and amateurs that it is now practised by around 5 million sportspeople in Italy alone.

Riccione can boast a great athletic tradition for artistic roller skating. You can practise this in the winter at the Pattinodromo Coperto (Covered Roller Drome) or, in the summer, on the open-air rink in the L. Montanari public gardens (near the Palazzo del Turismo).

Sport offers Riccione

There are various covered and open-air skating rinks where you can also practise hockey skating and one for blade skating.
In the winter, you can even go ice-skating on a rink near the sea. As Christmas approaches, an enormous ice rink is set up in Piazzale Roma where children and adults alike can have fun all day long!
