The history of roller skating is related to its traditional ancestor, ice skating, that traces its origins to the Netherlands in the 1500s. Recently it has become a sport that fascinates more and more people and finds itself in a constant evolution. The success of the public and athletes that practice roller skating has also been rising and nowadays it has about 5 million followers in Italy.

Riccione can be proud of a tradition of artistic skating and a history of numerous championships unique in its kind. For all this reasons Riccione has in its offer 4 different skating arenas – indoor as well as outdoor, one of which is dedicated to roller hockey and skateboarding. Moreover, in autumn and winter ice-skating can be practiced in an appropriate arena by the sea!
