How much time did we hear alarms and faintnesses caused by the high tide in Venice? Since yesterday the news is another one: the low tide in Venice.
Blocked the watery, missed distribution of the foodstuffs, no interventions of assistance, like ambulances and teams of fireman, no rubbish collecting… etc..
There is not Venice as we imagine in postcard, the water city with the gondoles in its canals: these typical boats and their gondolieri are stranded as cetaceans on the beach… Because of a strange juncture of astronomical events, lunar cycle, tides and of high atmospheric pressure, never, like this February, the annual cyclic phenomenon of the low tide in the Lagoon had appeared so important.
The exceptional retirement of water relates to all the Adriatic Sea and naturally also to the port canal of Riccione.
As you can see in the photo, with great stupor of its inhabitants and its visitors, the port channel is dry with its small inclined boats, as if they were thirsty and exhausted by this strange lack of water.
Waiting for the sudden and stormy rains in March, the astronomical economic situations will pass , the lunar phase  will pass and the high tide will return to restore Venice, water city, and Riccione, sea city and high tradition of sailors!
