Art and Photographie in Riccione

Riccione is on air. At Mussolini Villa, till 30 November 2008, it is possible to see the photographic exhibition “T.U.R.I.S.M.I.“.
The Exhibition is a collective exposure of the best professionals photographers and intellectuals of the territory, that they have received the challenge launch by the Culture Councillorship of Riccione
Here a short biography of the protagonists:

  • Gigliola Foschi is a critic of Art and Photography, writer and photographer.
  • Isabella Balena, born in Rimini, lives in Milan.
  • Silvio Canini lives and works to Bellaria - Marine Igea (Rn).
  • Giorgio Conti lives between Rimini and Venice.
  • Piero Delucca, born to Rimini. He has exposed in numerous italian exhibitions and abroad ones.
  • Gianni Gori, born in Cervia, where he lives and works. He has been student of Giò Pomodoro.
    He has exposed in Italy and abroad.
  • Daniele Lisi, born in Riccione, is photographer and designer.
  • Flavio Marchetti, born in Misano Adriatico (Rn), where he lives.
  • Giampaolo Proni, born in Faenza.
  • Romano Sanchini, born in Forlì, lives in Rimini. He is photographer and painter. He has exposed in Italy and abroad.
  • Eleonora Scarpellini, born in Rimini. She is editor of the on line review Surfingerarchitecture.
  • Valerio Vasi, born in Rimini, where he lives. Photographer since 80’s. He exposes abroad and in Italy. Sometimes he fuses photography with multimedia performances and installations.


The exhibition topic is to discover all the details of Riccione, the nuances of a city, that, from Winter to Summer, fills up voids, even if watching with attention, these are not voids but a different way to live winter months, without mass tourism.
It is a travel through the images of sixty years of the local tourism story, through the languages, the people, the trends and the tourisms that meet in Riccione.
This exhibition is supported from the Bank of Rimini Foundation.
The exhibition T.U.R.I.S.M.I. is open from 23 August until 30 November 2008. The fee entry costs 3,00 €.
