New at Riccione for Summer 2011: Palcobaleno!
A new exciting project combining holidays, fun and culture for summer 2011 in Riccione: Palcobaleno!
34 shows in July and August will take place at the new Teatro Tenda (Big Top) in Riccione, filling it to bursting point with magic, colours, illusions, story-telling and great laughs; there will be something for everyone: children and adults, tourists and residents of all ages and languages, at a stone’s throw from the beach.
The Teatro Tenda is a theatre in Bertazzoni area, in a corner facing the cycle route opposite Bath 44, which seats 230 people and stages highly entertaining shows of excellent quality. It can be reached on foot or by bicycle, along the promenade or cycle route. If you prefer to come by car, you can park in the nearby square or in the underground carpark on the front, just 300 metres from the theatre.
The stage at Palcobaleno will see all kinds, from circus events to mime shows and from children’s stories to clowns, as well as musicals and improvised plays. Acts will include the Compagnia dei Ciarlatani, the Belgian acrobats of Plan C, the comic clowning of Alessandra Casali, evenings for children with the puppets by Luca Ronga and Paolo Rech, then the Eccentrici Dadarò, Città Teatro, Les Ninettes, QFC, La Compagnia del Serraglio, Korekanè, Attimatti, Combriccola dei Lillipuziani, Maan, Bambabambin, Orkestra Zbylenka… artists that will all transport you to other worlds. Not to be missed are the special weekend events, such as the Raduno Improbeach, involving improvisation shows and theatre workshops, the Tent Circus, where circus, theatre and cabaret compare and contrast, the Ortonesque evening show which is decidedly “noir”, and the Cirque Baul, a miniature circus where a magical world appears out of a case and a gramophone. There really is an embarrassment of choice.
All this is in the “refreshing” context of the Teatro Tenda. You can also enjoy a meal before or after the shows at certain places with which the theatre has an arrangement, where you present your Palcobaleno ticket.
Check the Palcobaleno calendar: you’ll discover a real desire to go to the theatre!
