If a walk in the green is for you a therapy for the soul, in the hinterland of Riccione you will reach the peace of senses.
The Oasis of Montebello, the River Park of Marano, the Natural Reserve of Onferno, the Arboreto of Mondaino and the Park of the Quarry, are the natural reserves that, a few kilometres from the coast, offer you a lot of fresh and evocative trails, ideal for your excursions.
The Oasis of Montebello, in the municipality of Torriana, has been recognized by the European Union as a sensitive area from the environmental point of view.
Created in 1993 to protect a landscape that is very interesting for its vegetation, for the many species of wild animals and for its geological peculiarity (the presence of gaseous formations), the oasis covers 1200 hectares and is home to the Natural Observatory of Valmarecchia.
In the River Park of Marano, in the municipality of Coriano, you will come into contact with a rich and seductive flora and along the paths you will probably run across specimens of small mammals, hear the cuckoo and see the kingfisher diving into the water of the river to eat.
The Natural Reserve of Onferno, in the municipality of Gemmano, is known for its caves.
Along the underground way you will be guided through the canyons and the bottlenecks that were created from the erosive water and you will reach the greatest natural spectacle of the giant clusters of crystal.
We suggest hiking shoes and heavy sweat.
The Arboreto of Mondaino, in its nine hectares of forests, has more than five thousand plants that are representative of the Mediterranean bush.
It hosts the Dimora Theatre and its workshops of theatre and dance.
The Park of the Quarry, in the municipality of Poggio Berni, is situated near a fossil field of which it fosters the findings.
For guided tours you must book at least five days in advance to the office of tourism.
Not only trekking therefore in the hinterland of Riccione, but a fresh and enveloping embrace by nature which, so protected, can really be a cure for your soul.

Spring has come back, the sweet and gentle time that sees nature sprouting and blossoming again.
In Riccione, in gymnasiums and sports establishments, also the harmony of Spring of Budo blossoms again.
The international stage of martial arts and disciplines of mind and body is coming back from 22 to 25 April.
At its 24th edition, the event is promoted, with an always great enthusiasm and passion, by Libertas Association, in collaboration with the Municipality of Riccione. Useful to budokas of every schools of the world to meet and to confront, the meeting is open to anyone, with no age limits, who wants even only to approach this fascinating discipline.
Yoseikan Budo (The house who teaches in a rigorous way the way of the warrior) is a discipline that has originated at the beginning of the ‘900 from the historical researches and the intuitions of the Japanese master Minoru Mochizuki, and since the ’70s it has spread in Europe thanks to his son, Hiroo Mochizuki. However it is in the latter years that martial arts and the whole mythology of samurai have strongly come up again, with the complicity of a series of successful films, realized both at East and at Hollywood. People have discovered then its artistic relevance, and more, words like katana, ju jutsu, konbo, enter the current language.
The Yoseikan Budo aims to develop physical power and a positive mental attitude, through the teaching of the technical corpus which is the basis of the different martial arts. Starting from fighting techniques of the classical medieval samurai, the budo teacher proposes armed combat and body free exercises according to a modern and constantly evolving educational methodology. In other words Budo is a research on movement, for a harmonious use of the body and of energy that is within us and among us, whose ultimate objective is peace with himself and with all the world.
With 24th Spring Budo Riccione proposes to modern samurai four days of training, between tradition and continue experimentation, looking for the wave shock to pick the flower of harmony, which is in each of us and in everyone different.

Here we are! Friday March 14, 2008, at 21.15, Theatre of the Sea of Riccione. The event can not be missed, it is better you postpone any other appointment. Within Bravo Jazz festival, Charles McPherson Quartet is about to give birth to one of the most longed for concerts of the season of Riccione: “Bird, in a spirit of Charlie Parker”.
Charles McPherson is one of the great of jazz.
Vibrating alto sax, at the same time faithful and original follower of Charlie Parker, he is considered to be his heir.
He is defined by the New York Times “a singular voice that has never sacrificed the fluidity of its melody and is held in high consideration by the young musicians”.
Behind a long forty years career, he has a curriculum that gives the shudders, just like the poetry of his music.
He was born in Joplin, Missouri, but he grew up in Detroit where he took his first steps into music as a young student of the renowned pianist Barry Harris. After a brilliant debut, at 19 years old, he moved to New York in 1960 and met Charles Mingus: it began a mythical artistic companionship, which lasted, exciting, until 1972.
At the same period he gave life to his historic formation, composed by Barry Harris at the piano, Lonnie Hillyer on trumpet, and George Coleman to tenor sax. With them, but also alone engaged by the major jazz musicians of the time, he made long tours in the United States, Europe, Japan, South America and Africa. Collaborations for recordings are also important: we only mention those with the Carnegie Hall Jazz Orchestra, the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, and his most recent and beloved “Manhattan Nocturne”. For Clint Eastwood he gave voice to the alto sax of Charlie Parker in the film “Bird”.
After the success achieved in the past few days in Parma, the Charles McPherson Quartet is ready to climb on the stage of Riccione.
The talented young formation is composed by the legendary alto sax, his son Chuk on drums, Michael Weiss to the piano, Rubin Rogers at the double bass. Here they are, with their tribute to Bird Charlie Parker, ready to vibrate, with infinite passion and skill, their instruments and the hearts of all those present in the hall.
